12/11/16 This event was an outstanding show of community support that benefitted Emmanuel House and various local shelters, local artisans, VFW operations (non-profit) PLUS we had a heck of a lot of fun playing tunes from our new CD along with some jammin' covers. We had no idea what to expect as far as attendance and the result was incredible. We really wish we could thank everyone individually who attended because without all of you there wouldn't be an event at all - AMAZING COMMUNITY that we have here.
First and foremost we want to thank veterans and active duty for their service. Thanks to all of you who attended to make the event a HUGE success! WRDE-TV stopped by to pay us a visit too. Thanks to musicians Alicia Mickenberg (viola) and 'the guys' from Tangled Web (Ashi Parmar - guitar and Ray Glucksman - drums) for adding their talents to the performance. There are many people involved in the 'behind the scenes' production of this sort of event. Thanks to the folks running the show at the Rehoboth Beach VFW Post 7447. Thank you Bob McGinnis, Stephanie McGinnis, Buttercup Baker and the rest of the kitchen crew for believing in the vision, arranging the space, meeting with vendors, and adding your creativity to a very tasty food and beverage menu (check out those prices!). Bartenders Lisa & Tammy kept the crowd very, very happy with Roo Juice, Roo Crew Brew, & LOL's. We thank the artists Geri Dibiase Photography, Designs by Jenny, Stained Glass by Yona, Tall Oak Trading Company, Irish Girl Photography, Regina's Ceramics, Dar Sellers, and The Light Girls for sharing their artistry with all of us. Dottie Stackhouse, Sue Jones, Mary Dickson, Cindy Pellis, Jeanine Thomas, Maureen Gilligan, Linda Gilligan all provided a host of services from greeters, product display and sales, raffle & gift giving, assisting vendors, being roadies - you name it, they were on it. Thanks Debbie Wilkins, our Chief Of Party Operations, for all that you do and also for ramping up the dance floor.
